It is Friday, the sun is shining and weather is perfect for baseball as St. Petersburg College looks to add another win to their streak when they host the Hawks of Hillsborough Community College. The Titans (13-17) are currently on a 3 game win streak after a dominating performance against TNXL Academy this past Wednesday night. In the game against the Trojans, SPC had 12 runs off 8 hits with 1 in a 12-3 win over TNXL with both teams seeming to get a feel for one another early on. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 3rd, the Titans scored 3 runs off walk after walk to take a 5-0 lead. Then deja vu happened again only this time the Trojans had the bases loaded and scored 3 runs in the exact same way the Titans did 2 innings prior. Things didn't open up for SPC till the 7th when the Titans offense exploded for 7 runs to secure the victory. Centerfielder Logan Sanders was the player of the game with 5 at bats, 3 runs off 3 hits with 2 RBI. Pitcher Channing Young had a great night despite only pitching in 1 and half innings producing 5 strikeouts. As for today's matchup the Hawks (12-19) are coming a loss to Polk State and statistics show HCC a terrible road record of 3-15 so the Titans should take advantage early on. First pitch for today's matchup is set for 1pm at Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater. Admission is always free.
